When I am meditating and trying to tap inward, I like to use scents to enhance my awareness, and bringing the outdoors in can help soothe the mind and offer us a way to enhance our feelings.
I don’t know about you, but there is something very comforting when all the fragrant scents of nature surround us. They just seem to provide us with an extra layer of comfort instantly.
So it’s no surprise to know that taking in the color and scent of flowers while in a state of focused mindfulness is a powerful way to enhance our experience during meditation. And when we can set the mood for our sessions with the smell of nature, it can quickly maximize our meditation experience.
You can do this by placing different flowers in the area you are meditating in to explore new feelings of calm and positive vibrations.
Below we’ve added a few spring favorites to try in your home to help enhance your meditation too.
Daffodils
These flowers usher in the spring season. The scent and vibrant color of these yellow flowers represent creativity and emotional balance. Adding these beauties to your place of meditation is said to bring new ideas and thoughts into the open so that you can take action.
Lilies
They are known to represent virtue and friendship, but the white color is also believed to offer a sense of clarity and calm, as well as a connection to divine guidance, while the yellow flowers are said to open up your creativity and balance.
Roses
Roses are not just beautiful flowers that inspire passion, love, and positive feelings, but their fragrance can also boost one’s mood.
